8:15 to 9:15am, 44 Degrees, Cloudy, Wind 15mph NW, Bar 30.03 rise
Gusty morning. I could feel the wind down in the Fall Brook Valley. That is unusual. Birds were chattier than I thoght they would be. A good number of Black-capped Chickadees flitting about. A larger number of Tufted Titmice than normal. The wind has noticeably thinned the foliage overnight. Winter comes early to Maine. Going to have to think about warm clothes for sitting in the cold.
If you do not show up, you can not get lucky!
Merlin Identified 13 species. I saw 7. I also saw a Downy Woodpecker(above) and a Mourning Dove. Not bad considering the wind.
